On Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Hiwa Majid Khalil, Dean of the College of Political Sciences at the University of Salahaddin, and in partnership with the Center for Political and Strategic Research of the College, the Ministry of Peshmerga, and the War College – Defense University for Military Studies in Baghdad, and in the presence of Major General Saib Ahmed Al-Hatab and Major General Hafiz Muhammad Ali, a panel titled “The Military Institution and the Challenges of State-Building in Iraq” was held. A number of academic staff, students, and military officials from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region attended.
