Peshmerga Women’s
On January 12, 2026, a photo exhibition titled “Peshmerga Women’s ” was inaugurated through a collaboration between the Ministry of Peshmerga, the Royal Netherlands Army, and Salahaddin University-Erbil / College of Political Science. The event was attended by the Dutch Consul, a large number of academic staff, students, diplomats, and coalition forces.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the Dean of the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Hewa Majeed Khalil, who emphasized the importance of such events and highlighted the role of women in political, social, and economic fields.
Subsequently, Lieutenant Colonel Othman Mohammed, Director General of Media and National Awareness, presented a speech praising the role of universities and academic institutions in advancing women’s roles.
This was followed by a speech from the Dutch Consulate delivered by Colonel Arjen Buma.
The exhibition was then officially opened.
